      In the 1884 St. Paul city directory, he is a clerk for Noyes Bros & Cutler. He resides in Minneapolis.

      In the 1885 Minneapolis city directory, he is a clerk. He and his wife reside at 21 North 6th Street.

      In the 1885 state census, he is H. M. Tuell, age 30, born in Illinois. His wife is Kate, 26, born in Wisconsin. They live in Minneapolis.

      In the 1888 St. Paul city directory, he is a clerk for Noyes Bros & Cutler. He resides at 124 West Congress.

      In the 1895, 1896, 1897, 1898, 1899, and 1900 St. Paul city directories, he’s still with Noyes Bros & Cutler but he resides in Newport, Minnesota.

      In the 1901 directory, he’s still with Noyes Bros & Cutler and still lives in Newport but his title is now traffic manager.

      In the 1902 directory, he’s back to being a clerk. This is his last entry in a city directory.
