- In the 1945 Faribault city directory, which includes Northfield, Betty E Ellingboe is a student living with her parents at 806 Forest Ave.

In 1951, she lived with her brother Theodore in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was an office secretary.
By April of 1952, she was a teacher at the Elm Street School in Bridgewater, New Jersey, after have had a year at the State Teachers College in Newark.
The entry for her in the 1955 Elizabeth, New Jersey, city directory said “rem to Minnesota.”
An article in the September 16, 1961, edition of the Racine Journal Times discusses her as Miss Betty Ellingboe of the American Lutheran Church parish education staff giving a Sunday School teachers workshop as well as a “chalk talk.”
Her obituary was in the Northfield News on April 5, 1979.
The Ellingboe/Mashek family tree has Elizabeth marrying Palmer R Siquland. However, her death certificate is for Bertha Elizabeth Ellingboe. According to the Dalby database, Betty’s grandmother (Thora’s mother) was Bertha Siquland Larson.
The Northfield gravestone or cemetery information is for Bertha Elizabeth Ellingboe, spouse of Palmer G., but she was not buried there. Find A Grave has a picture of a gravestone for her, with birth and death dates, that is from Oaklawn Cemetery in Northfield. Find A Grave also says that her spouse was Palmer G Ellingboe.
An article in the Star on October 12, 1963, mentions that she had written a book, “The Little Man from Jericho”, apparently a children’s book about the story of Zachaeus. She worked as an audio-visual consultant to the Parish Education department of the American Lutheran Church.
In December of 1973, she was appointed manager of the films department at Augsburg Publishing house.
The “chalk-talk” TV series she had was called “Through the Porthole.”
