    Notes
    • She was Hannah Christenson when she married Swan Johnson.

Terry says: Hannah and Charley Lundberg were living in Milo Township in between Milaca and Foreston, Minnesota, I believe. In a previous Census there was a Hannah who was Danish living near to Charley Lundberg and married to a much older man named SWAN JOHNSON. Possibly he died about the same time as Britta Maria died and they met in Foreston/ Milaca or knew each other from earlier days. Hannah was Danish on her 1934 death certificate in CANADA.

She is buried in the small cemetery on the Archibald/Jestin farm (beside John & Annie Quaid). There is a space between Hannah and John & Annie. I assumed it could have been where Charlie was until I found out he was buried in Nelson, B.C.

      Her obituary:

Mrs. Hannah Lundberg passed away at Melfort hospital on Saturday, November 11th following an illness of broncho pneumonia. It will be remembered several months ago she sustained a broken hip in a fall. Mrs. Lundberg was born in Denmark in 1854 and is survived by her husband who at the time of her death was visiting his daughter at Preeceville and was unable to be present at the funeral. Mr. Lundberg is in his 83rd year.

The funeral was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Quaid, Rev. Riddolls officiating. Interment took palce in Kermaria cemetery.

In the 1900 census, a Mrs. Inga J. Johnson was living in the village of Foreston with her father Christ Christianson. This woman had an 8 year-old daughter named Mary living with her and Christ. Inga was born March 1854 in Denmark and came to the U.S. in 1891. The census shows that she had been married for 14 years and had had three children, only one still living.

Ida Deiters with the Lundbergs in Canada
Taken in Saskatchewan in the early 1920s when Ida Deiters visited her Canadian cousins. Ida is 2nd from the right and we don't know who the dark-haired young woman on the far right is. The others, from the left, are Nannie Lundberg Quaid, about 44; Hannah Lundberg, about 68; Charley Lundberg, about 72; and Belle Jestin, about 27.

This photograph was processed by Osborn's of Dickinson, North Dakota, which is where Ida and Gus were living at the time.

Probably taken by Id during one of her visits to Saskatchewan. The print was processed by Osborn's Daily Film Service in Dickinson, North Dakota. The woman on the left is Nannie Lundberg Quaid. The older couple in the middle is Charley Lundberg and his second wife Hanna. The woman in the background between the two is probably Belle Jestin. The four people on the right in this picture have not yet been identified.
