Had three children; had two at the time of the 1930 census.
At the time of the 1930 census, Tillman was living on Black Bottom Road in Franklin Township next door to his parents and down the road from his sister and brother. The family was: Tilman, 27, his wife Selma, 29, and their sons Sylvan, 5, and Gordon, 2. Tilman was 20 when he was first married; Selma was 22.
At the time of the 1940 census (indexed as Memlahl), Tilman and his three children lived with his parents, the same house in which they all had lived in 1935. Tilman, a laborer, was engaged in public work.
The history of the Kickapoo United Lutheran Church records the death of "Tillman Nundahl" in 1962 and "Tilman Nundahl" in 1971. The 1971 “Tilman”’s specifics, according to the SSDI, are as follows: b. 20 Mar 1901, d. Jun 1971, Residence Viroqua, 396-36-1124 issued in WI in 1955. [The 1910 census for Town of Franklin, Vernon County shows a 9 year old “Tilman” as the son of Ole O. Nundahl, a brother of Sever.]
[This “other” Tilman is living with brother Oscar, mother Brita, and sister Mabel at the time of the 1930 census.]

 | Cora and the Nundahl kids Probably from about 1914. If so, Cora is 18, Carl is 17, Clara is 16, and Tillman is 12. This is about the time that Cora went to Minneapolis for three months. |
 | Ole Torger school, about 1910 Cora, about 14, is fourth from the left in the back and Clara, about 12, is third from the left. That's Carl Nundahl, about 13, third from the right in the back. Tillman, who would have been 8 or 9, may be the boy in the middle of the picture or the boy next to Carl.
The original is a postcard. No photographer indicated.
The school Cora attended is referred to as “The Ole Torger School - District #8” in the Vernon County 150 Years book. A description of the history of the school, by Wesley Clayton Slack, is as follows:
“The Ole Torger School started in a white wood frame one-room building with pillars on the front porch on land obtained from Ole Torger, hence the name. Many of the students spoke Norwegian so had to learn English." |
 | Tilman and Selma Simonson Nundahl Their wedding picture, 1924. The rectangular sepia-toned original was mounted in a brown folder by Jasperson, Viroqua, Wis. On the back Cora wrote, "My Cousin Tillman Nundahl & bride." |
