  Notes	Dorothy E. Carlton, 67, of Omak, entered into rest on Oct. 9, 2000, in the presence of her family at the Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Dorothy was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Omak to Bill and Ella Sprowl. She was from a pioneer family in Omak. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Sprowl homesteaded on Pogue Flat in 1900. She graduated from Omak High School in 1951, where she was "Princess Omak" in the Apple Blossom Festival. Dorothy married Darrell Carlton on July 21, 1951, in Couer d'Alene, ID. She was a beautiful, loving woman and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. We will all miss her more than words can express. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Darrell of the family home; one daughter, Debbie Fenno of Bothell; three sons, Greg and his wife, Sue Carlton of Omak, Steve Carlton of Okanogan, Brian and his wife, Janice Carlton of Okanogan; one brother, Harvey Sprowl of Omak; four sisters, Margaret Johns of Okanogan, Della Mae Haeberle of Omak, Mary Lou Schmidt of Omak, Ruth Ella Piper of Dryden; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Herbert.
