In the 1940 census, he and his daughter lived with his father and sister at 715 Court Street. He was a decorator at a paint shop. At the time of his death he lived at 715 South Court in Fergus Falls and was married to Lenore Olson Torvik. The informant for the information on his death certificate was Mrs. Julian Johnson of Fergus Falls. He died of colon cancer.
