  Notes	In the 1928 and 1929 Minneapolis city directories, he was a messenger for Sears Roebuck & Co. He lived with his brother at 3926 25th Avenue S. In the 1930 city directory, he was a stockman for Sears. He and Iver still lived at 3936 25th Avenue S. In the 1943 La Crosse city directory, he and Pearle lived at 111 S 9th, apartment 101. Knute was a salesman, Pearle was a clerk for the National Youth Administration. In the 1945 and 1950 La Crosse directories, he was a salesman. He and Pearle lived at 1139 Main. In the 1953, 1955, and 1956 La Crosse directories, he was a salesman for Janney Semple Hill. He lived at 2617½ Main. In the 1959 La Crosse city directory, Knute and Florence live at 2116 Redfield. Knute is a salesman. His obit says that he came to the U. S. in 1924. He and his (second) wife lived in La Crosse before moving to Oelwein. “Survivors are his wife; three sons, Kenneth of Lake Jackson, Texas, John of Wichita, Kansas, and David of Oelwein; five grandchildren; two brothers, Iver of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Bjarne of Vang, Valdres, Norway; two sisters, Ragna Midtsveen of Oslo, Norway, and Birit Laklien of Deset, Norway. He was preceded in death by three brothers.”
