  Notes	His obit in the Northfield News, via Dalby: John Rudningen, life-long farmer in the Nerstrand area, died very unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, March 2, 1966. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon, March 5th, at Valley Grove Lutheran Church near the Rudningen home, the Rev. O. G. Otterness officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Albert Rudningen, Arthur Quie, Norman Shelstad, and Carl Hope, all of Nerstrand, Aldon Severson of Mankato, and Armin Sundet of Faribault. The arrangements were made by the Zanmiller Funeral Home. Mr. Rudningen was born March 3, 1896, the son of Andrew and Anna (Hanson) Rudningen. He was born, lived all of his life, and died on the same farm place. He was baptized and confirmed in Valley Grove Lutehran Church and was a life-long member there. He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa Severson, to whom he was married on March 9, 1927, at Nerstrand; by one son, Arnold of Faribault; three grandchildren; two foster sisters, Mrs. Mathilda Knutson of Northfield and Mrs. Amanda Main of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sigurd.
