  Notes	An article in the Manitowoc Herald-Times, 17 Jul 1924: Mr. and Mrs. Knut Robley, pioneer residents, celebrated their sixty-first wedding anniversary Saturday, relatives and friends calling to pay their respects and tender congratulations. The Rev. O. K. Espeseth of Manitowoc conducted a short sermon appropriate to the occasion and a dinner was served.  Mr. Robley is eighty-five and his bride of sixty-one years is eighty-one. Both were born in Valders, Norway and came to the United States together in 1854, he being a lad of fifteen while she was eleven. They were married July 12, 1863, and took up their home on a farm near the village of Valders (Wisconsin) where they have lived for half a century, retiring ten years ago to take up their home in the village where they had a new house erected. The couple has one son, Carl, living at Milwaukee, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Years ago Mr. Robley was chairman of the town of Liberty for many terms and also president of the Scandinavian Mutual Insurance company. The community extended well wishes.
