  Notes	In the 1910 census, Peter and Anna lived in Grants Pass in Josephine County, Oregon. They had been married for three years. Children living with them were a five-year-old stepson named Charles E Thoralph and their two daughters Alphild, 2, and Emma, 1. Peter is Anna’s 2nd husband. His daughter Emma’s obit said that the family moved to North Bend in 1917. In the 1920 census, they lived in North Bend in Coos County. Peter was a section foreman for a railroad. The children living at home were Alphild, 12, Emma, 10, Oscar, Nellie, 7 and one month, Alice, 5 and 5 months, Melvin, 1 and 9 months, and Edward Kirkeby, 13. In the 1930 census, they lived in North Bend. Children living at home: Emma, 21, a telephone operator, Oscar, 19, Nellie, 17, Alice, 15, Melvin, 11, and Donald, 7. He died from “lethargic encephalitis (sleeping sickness), the third such fatality within the past two months.” His obit noted that he came to the U. S. in 1905 and had worked for the Southern Pacific for the past 26 years. He had been a section foreman in North Bend since 1917.
