- Eighteen-year-old Douglas Lockrem of 1009 Division St. in Northfield was dead on arrival at Rice County District One Hospital early this morning after he apparently shot himself in the head at Wimpy's Restaurant, 520 Central Ave., Faribault. Faribault police were called to Wimpy's at 12:58 a.m. Saturday when they found Lockrem lying on the floor with a gun in his hand. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Benson-Anderson Funeral Home in Northfield. Interment will be in the Vang Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday and until the hour of services Monday. Douglas Lockrem was born Feb. 18, 1954, in Northfield. He attended Northfield public schools and graduated from high school last June.
