  Notes	In the 1940 census, he and his wife and daughter lived in Minneapolis. He was an accountant for a gas company (probably Minnegasco, then known as the Minneapolis Gas Company). He had had 2 years of college, his wife was a high school graduate. In the 1950 census, he and his family lived in Bloomington at a large communal religious compound, characterized as the Bethany Fellowship missionary training center, at 6820 Auto Club Road in Bloomington. Halvard worked there as a staff worker and treasurer. Strand, Halvard C. Age 102 of Bethany Fellowship, Bloomington, MN, died on Saturday, December 20, 2014 of natural causes, peacefully in his home. He was born on September 11, 1912 in Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Heglund Strand and infant grandson David. He is survived by children: Miriam and Mike Lundeen, Karen Easterday and Paul Dotray, Paul and Elizabeth Strand, one grandson, seven granddaughters, and twenty six great grandchildren. Services will be held at Bethany Church, 6900 Auto Club Road, Bloomington, MN.
