  Notes	Berthea Mathilde in her birth/baptism record in the church book. Probably the Bertha M. Ellingboe, clerk for Henry Allin, and living at 614 St. Olaf Avenue in the 1902 Faribault city directory, which includes Northfield, and the 1903 Northfield city directory. The 1925 Iowa state census shows that Bertha went to school through the 8th grade. Living with her mother and two younger daughters in Northfield in the 1930 census. She is shown as still married. An article on her death in the Knoxville News-Sentinel said that she died of a stroke at Presbyterian Hospital. She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. W. P. Ranney of Gleason Road. The article said that her husband, a retired printer, died five years earlier. Bertha had been born and raised in Northfield and met her husband at St. Olaf College.
