  Notes	Lula C. Engel, 83, of Crabtree died Monday at home of natural causes. She was born in Kenneth, Minn., to Kanut and Bergeit Oldre. She moved as a child to South Dakota. Then in 1936, at the age of 14, she moved to Oregon with her family and settled in Albany. She later met Donald E. Engel, and they married on May 28, 1948, in Albany. Together they had three children and Lula worked at home. From 1971 to 1998, they lived in Alsea and since then in Crabtree. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Albany. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping trips and spending time with her family. Survivors include husband Don of Crabtree; daughters Eileen (Robert) Fligg of Troutdale and Karen (Gary) Halliwell of Crabtree; son Darrell of Crabtree; brother Melvin Oldre of Albany; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
