In the 1873 Milwaukee city directory, he is Andrew Ellingboe, laborer, residing on Bay View Avenue. In the 1875 Milwaukee city directory, he is probably the Andrew Ellingbo, tanner, residing on or in Bay View. In the 1877 Milwaukee city directory, he is probably the Andrew Elingboe, laborer, residing at 108 Bay View. In the 1880 census, the family was living in Milwaukee. The household was Andrew, 38, Katherine, 40, Christopher, 9, Clara, 9, Gilbert, 4, and Louisa, 2. Andrew’s occupation is shown as carpenter. Katherine and her parents were born in Wurtemberg. The Milwaukee city directory for the period 1889-1890 shows Andrew Ellingboe, carpenter, and Christopher Ellingboe, laborer, residing at 154 S. Bay. K.B. Oppland Fylke, Vang Vol. 135, Vang K.B. #5 (original handwritten), #84, p. 245.1870 Federal Census, Vol. 2, p. 595. Certificate of marriage in possession of James Ellingboe. Jim Ellingboe says: Anders (Andrew) Christophersen Ellingboe (1845-1899) married Catherine Hilsenbach, moved to Milwaukee, and had one daughter. I do not have a photo of him.
