She graduated from Watford City High School and then received her Registered Nurse degree from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Fargo, ND. Annie married Alvin Amb in Pasadena, CA in 1947. They returned to Portland to farm and raise a family. Annie was nursing supervisor at Tri-County Nursing Home in Hatton, ND for several years. Annie is survived by 4 children, Marchelle (Mark) Zweber of Viera, FL, Coleene (Barry) Fernando of Phoenix, AZ, Bradley (Ellen) Amb of Portland, ND, and Stephanie Olson of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Kjersten and Andrew Linkletter, Jennifer Fetla, Jerry Homstad, and Joseph, Patrick, and Michelle McCauley; and one brother, Orville Selid of Park Rapids, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers and 1 sister. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in memory of Annie.
