  Notes	In the 1950 census, he and LaVerle and Sherrie and Darlene lived in Tacoma, Washington. He was a trimmer at a lumber company. According to his entry in Find A Grave, and based on an article in the Seattle times, he died after being shot in the chest with a 30.06 calibre rifle. The gun discharged during a struggle for the gun and another man had been booked into the city jail in the case. Walter had been employed as a maintenance employee at Swedish Hospital. Walter was a veteran of World War II. He had been a sergeant in the U.S. Army. His brief obituary in the Seattle newspaper mentioned only his surviving siblings. It did not mention any wife or children.
