In the 1920 census, he and his wife and their four children lived in San Francisco. Raymond was a secretary in the Boy Scouts. In the 1930 census, he and his wife and Ivy, Raymond, and Donald were living in San Francisco. Raymond was an executive with the Boy Scouts. In the 1940 census, he and his wife Hilda lived in Los Angeles although they had lived in San Francisco five years earlier. Raymond was a regional director for the Boy Scouts. He had made more than $5000 in 1939 and the house that he and Hilda lived in, which they owned, was worth $8500. Hilda and Raymond are recorded as arriving at the Port of Los Angeles aboard the Lurline on 31 Oct 1941. They had sailed from Honolulu on October 24th. He was 54, she was 57. They had originally left Los Angeles for Honolulu aboard the Luline on 19 September 1941 and arrived at Honolulu on 24 Sept. His wife’s obit suggested donations to the Raymond O Hanson scholarship fund at Stanford University.
