She was born May 13, 1913, the daughter of Robert and Elvera Edstrom Lindell. She attended Cannon Falls High School and then worked at area farm homes. She married Herman Kasa on Jan. 1, 1935. They farmed in the High Prairie area and later east of Dennison for 23 years before retiring in 1966. They moved to Northfield, where she worked for a time in the balloon dept. at Sheldahl and for 16 years at St. Olaf College. She and Herman were longtime members of the Vang Lutheran Church where they taught Sunday School and where she was treasurer for the ladies aid for many years. She was a 4-H leader. When they moved to Northfield they joined St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed playing cards and solving crossword puzzles and for many years had a large garden. She is survived by sons, Robert (Donna), Richard (Judy), both of Northfield, and Larry, Cottage Grove; sisters, Doris Wagner and Jean Featherstone, Cannon Falls, Arlene Callstrom, Red Wing, June Klossner, Portland, OR; brother, Leslie Lindell, Rosemount; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter, brothers Paul, Gordon and Willard Lindell. Funeral services were held Tues., March 14, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Northfield, with Revs. Craig Ellingboe and Nick Fisher-Broin officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield. Pallbearers were Mike Kasa, Steve Kasa, Bruce Stowe, Tom Stowe, Conrad Lindell and Oscar Quittem. Arrangements by Bierman Funeral Home Northfield.
