  Notes	In the 1890-1891 and 1891-1892 Duluth city directories, there is a Sivert Aune who is a clerk for Andrew Grande and who boards at 2230 W Michigan. In the 1894-1895 city directory, he is Sivert Aune, who resides at 2302 W Michigan and is shown as “clk C Mickelson, meats rear 2101 W Superior.” In the 1895-1896 city directory, he is Sivert Aune, who resides at 2221 W Michigan and is shown as “meats rear 2101 W Superior.” In the 1895 census, there is just one Sivert Aune at 2221 W Michigan Street and that Sivert is a 25 year-old clerk. In the 1896-1897 city directory, he is Sivert Aune, who resides at 2221 W Michigan and is shown as “meats rear 2102 W Superior.” In the 1897-1898 Duluth city directory, he seems to be Sivert Aune of 2221 W Michigan and who is shown as “meats 2226 W Michigan.” However, there is also a Sivert Aune Jr. who is a clerk at P L Johnson and who also boards at 2221 W. Michigan. In the 1898-1899 city directory there are two Sivert Aunes at 2221 W Michigan. One is “meats 2226 W Superior” and the other, Sivert Jr., is a clerk for P L Johnson. In the 1899 and 1900 city directories there is a Sivert Aune who is the proprietor of Sherman House at 2221 W Michigan. There is also a Sivert Aune who is a clerk and who boards at 2221 W Michigan. In the 1901 city directory, there is only one Sivert Aune and that Sivert is the proprietor of the Sherman House at 2221 W Michigan. In the 1910 census, Sivert is the proprietor of the boarding house and was married to Lottie. In the 1920 census, Sivert and Lottie live at 830 23rd Avenue in Duluth with Lottie’s father, Olaf Ahlstrom. Sivert is a merchant in a meat market.
