  Notes	Ruby Florine Selmo, 87, died April 4, 2012 at Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji, MN. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 at Havenwood Care Center with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Havenwood Care Center. Interment will be in the Solway Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Ruby was born on May 18, 1924 in Bemidji to Hans and Josephine (Anderson) Torkelson. Ruby lived in Bemidji most of her life except for a short time when she lived with her brother in Waterloo, IA. Ruby married Orlo Selmo on May 11, 1965 in Bemidji. Ruby worked for F.W. Woolworth for 45 years and retired from there in 1987. Ruby and Orlo owned and operated the Phillips 66 gas station in Solway, MN until 1987 when they retired and turned the operation over to their son. Ruby belonged to many crafting, quilting and sewing clubs throughout her lifetime. Ruby is survived by her children, Kimberly Jewett (Rick) Merritt of Sparta, WI and John O. (Wendy) Selmo of Bemidji. Her 7 grandchildren, Shelley (Dale) Brekke, Christy Stern-Anderson, John D. Beaudette III, Caley Loud, Samantha Loud, John L. Selmo and Cole Selmo. Her 5 great-grandchildren, Nicole, Andrew, Jordan, Casey and Dylan. Her 6 great-great-grandchildren, Triston, Presley, Peyton, Tahlen, Keegan and Brycen. Special niece, Ver Naye (James) Burford, nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Cherie Beaudette; 1 sister, Ruth Westnes and 4 brothers, Johnny Torkelson, Forrest Torkelson, George Torkelson and Kenny Torkelson.
