  Notes	Living with his mother in the 1905 state census. In the 1910 census he is living in Minneapolis with his sister Nellie Pedersen and her family. He is a clerk in a butcher shop. He registered for the draft in Minneapolis on June 5, 1917. At that time he lived at 2411 11th Avenue South in Minneapolis. He was self-employed with a grocery business at 910 East 24th Street. He was married with a wife and child and claimed their dependancy as grounds for exemption from the draft. He was tall and slender with blue eyes and light hair. In the 1930 census, he and his family live at 4101 41st Avenue South in Minneapolis. He has a grocery store. In 1937, he was licensed to sell “lunch, groceries, soft drinks and confectionery” at 2507 East 38th Street in Minneapolis. In the 1940 census, he and his wife and four children still lived at 4101 41st Avenue in south Minneapolis. He was a the manager of a confectionery. He was the informant for his brother Walter’s death certificate. At that time, Nordahl lived at 4101 41st Avenue S. His obit said that he had lived in Minneapolis for 60 years and his last residence was 4101 41st Avenue in south Minneapolis. His sister Nellie is the only one of his siblings listed in his obit as surviving him. He was a member of Minnehaha Lutheran. According to Mark, Nordahl owned the building his store was in and rented out several stores in the building to others.
