  Notes	He registered for the draft on May 28, 1918, in Pennington County. At the time, he was employed in Thief River Falls by the Minneapolis Bridge Company although he gave his home address as Grand Meadow. He had blue eyes and brown hair. His nearest relative was Oscar Skogstad of Thief River Falls. He was a hired man on a farm in Frankford Twp in the 1920 census not far from the farm of his uncle Emil. He married his first cousin, the daughter of his uncle Emil. In the 1930 census, Bert and Marie were living with her parents and her two siblings in Mower County. At the time of death, he lived in Grand Meadow where he had been an agent for the Shell Oil Company for two-and-a-half years. He died of pneumonia. George Skogstad of Grand Meadow was the informant for his death certificate. Bert served in WWI according to the Minnesota Veterans Graves Registration Index. He is buried in Mower County.
