During their marriage, the couple lived in various countries and states, while Robert was in the service. They mainly lived in Illinois where Sheila worked for 6 Flags in Gurnee, IL.
Sheila was a big Minnesota Vikings fan. She always wore purple and would frequently visit Mankato, MN to attend Viking training camp. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.
Sheila is survived by her son James Cheeks, Winona, MN; her sister Nancy Benson, Winona, MN; four brothers, Terry (Linda) Benson, Foster, RI, Dennis (Pat) Benson, Fountain City, WI, Duane Benson, Winona, MN, Kenneth (Carol) Benson, Rushford, MN; her grandchildren, Nick and Cole Knutson and Zayden Peterson.
