His obit in Find A Grave, cited from the Northfield News:

Herman Lorenzo Kasa, 82, of Northfield, died on Wednesday, June 26, 1991, at United Hospital, St. Paul. He was born May 12, 1901, in Litchfield, the son of Erick and Christine Kasa. He married Loraine Lindell on January 1, 1935 at Spring Garden Church.

He spent his first years on their family farm. Following his mother’s death when he was four, the family moved to his grandparents farm near Dennison. He was confirmed at Vang Lutheran Church and attended District 51 Country School. Following school he helped on neighbors’ and relatives’ farms in the Dennison area. After his marriage he farmed in the High Prairie area, and then east of Dennison for 23 years. He retired from farming in 1966, moving to Northfield where they both began working for St. Olaf College. In Northfield they became members of St. Peters Church.

Survivors are wife Loraine; sons, Robert and wife Donna of Ada, OK, Richard and wife Judy of Northfield and Larry of Cottage Grove; two sisters, Alice Amundson of Northfield and Myra Sybilrud of Waseca; five grandchildren, Steven, Lori and Michael Kasa and Bonnie and Kim Stowe; four great-grandchildren, Darrin, Lauren, Jenna and Jared Stowe.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two brothers, Fred and Maurice.

Services were held on June 29, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Paul Nelson and Rev. Chester Oleson officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield. Pallbearers were Steven, Gene, and Michael Kasa, Bruce and Tom Stowe, Duane McGee and Charles Wagner.
