Arnold Hoyme of Wetaskiwin died peacefully in the early morning hours of November 14, 2016 with loved ones nearby.
Remembering him with love are his wife, Edith; daughter, Marlene (Bob) Olson; step-children, Shirley Watson, Wayne (Linda) Arnold and Wade (Adele) Arnold; brothers, Clifford (Dorothy), Melford (Donna); and sister-in-law, Doreen. His love of family will live on in the memories of his 18 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Alma Hoyme; son, Darryle; step-sons, Brian, Wesley; brothers, Orin, Ernest, Konard; and sister, Almira.
Arnold was well-respected in the community; from the family farm near Camrose, to WWII service, to many years of work and community service in the Wetaskiwin area. In addition to farming, Arnold operated businesses in feedmill management, ceramics, real estate, insurance and more. He continued to work into his nineties.
