Ardis Vevle (nee Murray), age 88, of Otsego, MN, formerly of Brooklyn Center, MN passed away February 9, 2021. Ardis is preceded in death by husband, Robert, and parents Eldo and Margaret Murray.
Survived by loving son, Randy (Becky) and grandchildren Rylee and Ryan of Elk River; sister, Beverly Flynn, of Poland, OH, many family and friends, and beloved dog, Angel.

Arlene R. (Hjelle) Mrzena, 91, of Willmar, died Thursday, January 23rd at Carris Health Rice Hospital in Willmar. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, January 30th at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm, Wednesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue on Thursday, one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery in Willmar.
Arlene Rosella (Hjelle) Mrzena was born on February 11, 1928, on the family farm in Arctander Township, the second daughter of Clarence and Sophia Hjelle and youngest of six children. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school before graduating from New London High School. Following graduation, Arlene went to cosmetology school in St. Cloud, where she earned her certificate in hair dressing. She worked as a cosmetologist when she met her future husband, Ed. On September 28, 1951, Arlene was united in marriage to Edsel Mrzena at the parsonage in Sunburg. Following their marriage, they lived in Sunburg until moving to Willmar in 1959. They were blessed with two children: Kevin and Vernae. Arlene enjoyed being a wife, mother and also worked at Molenaar Plastics for over 15 years. Together Ed and Arlene shared in 60 years of marriage. During retirement, the couple enjoyed traveling on bus tours around the United States. Arlene also enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She always made a special effort to talk with everyone she knew at social events and family gatherings. Arlene also went to coffee daily to catch up with friends. She enjoyed playing cards, search words, camping, and listening and dancing to polka music. Arlene was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she was active over the years.
Surviving are her children: Kevin (and Sharon) of Willmar, Vernae (and Darin) Vadnais of Prior Lake; four grandchildren, Jamie (and Kasey) Van Heuveln of Kerkhoven, Kelly Mrzena(special friend, Aaron Friehl) of Murdock, Mikaela and Mitchell Vadnais of Prior Lake; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brody, Ellie and Paige Van Heuveln. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Arlie Duwain Egland, age 79, of rural Dennison, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at his home.
Arlie was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Northfield, the son of Arthur and Amanda (Ellingboe) Egland. He attended the Dennison Country School through eighth grade and graduated from Northfield High School. Following school he joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He then returned to Dennison and farmed. Arlie married Carole Messelt and they later divorced.
Arlie farmed for many years with his father, Art, and then with his son, Duwain. They raised crops, turkeys, hogs and dairy cattle. He also worked at Malt-O-Meal in Northfield for many years from where he retired.
Arlie enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona and Nevada. He also enjoyed the casino; dancing, especially to polka music; playing cards with the "boys" in Dennison every morning at the City Hall; and visiting with his friends, neighbors and family. He was also a baker and known for his krumkake and lefse.
Arlie is survived by son, Duwain of Dennison; daughters, Vivian Bluhm (fiancée Jim Nystuen) of Northfield, Nancy (Dick) Graupman of Cannon Falls, and Susan Egland of Northfield; and grandson, Trent Egland. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield. Interment will be in Vang Cemetery will full military honors. | EGLAND, Arlie Duwain (I3230)

Arline Anne Loe, passed away on Thursday, August 6, surrounded by her family at Bethany on 42nd, having reached the age of 91.
Arline was born August 1, 1924, in St. Paul, MN, to Frank and Katherine (Jerry) Lenart. She graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul. Following school, she took business and secretarial courses at Rasmussen Business College.
She met and married her longtime Army pen pal, Lloyd Julian Loe in 1949. Arline worked as a stenographer for various firms before and after she was married. Lloyd and Arline made their home in Maynard, MN, and Arlington, MN before settling in St. Paul where they started their family. Lloyd's job led them to live in Fargo, Billings, MT, Overland Park, KS, and back to Fargo in 1969 where they remained.
Wherever she lived, Arline was always active within the church. Lloyd and Arline worked for many years together making a variety of items they sold at craft fairs around the area. Arline was an excellent seamstress, always sewing for herself and her family. In her later years she turned her talents towards making doll clothing and stuffed animals. She loved cooking, baking, and canning. She loved their back yard, the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. She loved spending time with and was very influential in the lives of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Pamela (Loy) Larson, Fargo; Linda (Don) Jemtrud, Fargo; grandchildren: Katie (Tim) Glaser, Fargo; Joseph (Alissa) Hahn, Fargo; Scott Hahn, Fargo; James (Stephanie) Jemtrud, Marion, IA; Jacob Jemtrud, Fargo; great grandchildren: Logan and Jack Glaser, Fargo; Silas Jemtrud, Marion, IA; sister, Mildred (Glenn) Ahmann, St. Paul, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, grandson, Daniel Hahn, sisters: Katherine, Peggy, Dorothy, Edith, brothers: Lawrence and Donald.
