From the book - RICE COUNTY FAMILIES. PUB. 1981
Cornelia Warmington Rauk, daughter of Gibson and Edith Warmington, was born June 7, 1914, in Faribault. She was baptized and confirmed at the Holy Innocent Church in Cannon City. She attended school in Faribault. Cornelia graduated from Paul's Beauty Academy in St. Paul, MN, and has owned and operated beauty shops in Kenyon and Nerstrand for many years. On March 8, 1942, Cornelia married Raymond Rauk at the Episcopal Cathedral in Faribault. Raymond and Cornelia farmed the Rauk home place (now a Centennial Farm) in the Nerstrand area. Their son, Rodney, now continues the family farming tradition. Raymond and Cornelia had 2 children: Rodney Rauk, born May 16, 1943; Kaye Marie Rauk, born September 20, 1948. A nephew, Douglas Hagerty, born May 29, 1941, was raised by Raymond and Cornelia. Raymond and Cornelia have 7 grandchildren. Raymond retired in 1971 after long-standing complications from a severe automobile accident which resulted in a heart condition and stroke. On January 2, 1974, Raymond died. He was buried at the Vang Lutheran Cemetery near Dennison, MN. Cornelia now operates and owns the Village Beauty Shop at Kenyon, MN.
