1361 Ann Marie Halverson, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on February 11, 2005, in Tacoma. Ann was born in Charleson, North Dakota on October 25, 1914. On October 18, 1941, Ann married Jack Halverson. They were married until he passed away in 1982.

Ann’s greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her garden, baking, camping, and reading. Ann was a wonderful friend, too. She was always willing to help others, and never put herself first. She will always be remembered for her cookies, her wet kisses, her endless cans of fruits and vegetables, her love of pinochle and Skip-Bo, and her kind spirit.

Ann is survived by her sister Gudrun in North Dakota, her son Jerry Halverson (Jan), son John Halverson (Gail), and daughter Sandy Johnson (Marvin). She also has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.The Halversons were long-standing members of Hope Lutheran Church in Tacoma. They enjoyed fellowship and friendship with many church members.Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18 at Hope Lutheran. Flowers may be sent to Hope Lutheran Church. Donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
