16901 She attended Lockhart School and graduated from Ada High School. She was primarily a homemaker, but she worked outside her home in many places. She helped at the Lockhart Store, picked and cut potatoes, worked for 14 years at Kerlin's Berry Acres of Ada, cleaned at the Ada Hotel and the Creamery Mall, provided home care for others, and many other jobs too numerous to mention. She and Bennie delivered Meals on Wheels and helped with the Ada Senior Meal program. She was a member of the Ada Methodist Church (Faith United) and was active in its Women's Society. She was active in the Lockhart Homemaker's club as well. She loved planting and keeping her vegetable and flower gardens. She also loved little children and spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren and her first great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers. Laura Margaretha Malakowski was born on September 11, 1917 in Lockhart, Norman Co., Minnesota and died (age 87) on August 9, 2005 in Bridges Care Community, Ada, MN after a 10 year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She married Bennie Gustav Hegrenes on December 9, 1941 ( 2 days after Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese). Bennie was born in Thief River Falls,

She first married Walter S Jensen in Havre in Hill County, Montana, on 3 Dec 1937. That marriage didn’t last long because Walter married again in June of 1940.

Susan Helen Crum Wold, 92, died Feb. 27, 2005, in Homer. Family and close friends attended a burial service Wednesday, March 2, at Hickerson Memorial Cemetery in Homer.

Born Jan. 31, 1913, she and her husband Morris lived in Billings from 1951 to 1979. Susan was preceded in death by Morris and is survived by three daughters, Barbara Rocheleau of Sitka, Nancy Vait and husband, Leo, of Homer and Stephanie Hadler of Denmark.

Her family says, "Our beautiful Mom and Gammy Susan will best be remembered for her wit, wisdom, creativity, classic elegance, shared news clippings, silly sense of humor, strength of political convictions, religious faith and inclusive love of family and friends? but let's not forget the dictionary and chocolate. She will be loved, missed, and remembered."

Shown is Ida in the 1900 census, at which time she was the wife of Edwin P. Ruh. She had had one child at that time, Bertha M., 1 (born Nov 1898). She and Edwin had been married for 2 years. The family had two farmhands and a servant girl living with them.

Elsie Jane Krupsky, 95 of Fullerton, ND died April 1, 2018 at Oakes Community Hospital, Oakes, ND. A memorial service will be held 2pm Sunday, April 22 at New Life Assembly of God Church, formerly the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 720 3rd Ave. N, Ellendale, ND. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale.

Elsie was born September 7, 1922 to Harry and Mary (Poleshuk) Boyko at Greatstone, ND. Elsie attended country school and helped her mother with the younger children and household chores. Elsie married Curtis Haugen in 1940. With this union their three children Carolyn, Gary and Deanna were born. After their divorce, Elsie married Stanley Krupsky Jr. on November 19, 1950. To this union was born Connie, Bonnie and Nancy. They made their home on a farm in the Butte, ND area. In the fall of 1958, they purchased a farm one mile south of Fullerton where they farmed and raised their family. It was Elsie’s home for 60 years. Later she worked at Oakes Good Samaritan Center for about 12 years. She helped on the farm mainly milking cows. She also tended a large garden and canned much of her produce. She was a member of the Ellendale Seventh Day Adventist Church. Elsie enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and traveling. Elsie is survived by four daughters: Deanna (Larry) Bird, Colonial Beach, VA, Connie (Marvin) Teske, Ellendale, ND, Bonnie Hopkins, Fullerton, ND, Nancy Krupsky, Oakes, ND; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister: Jeanette Martin, Minot, ND; brother: Maynard (Della Mae) Boyko, Turtle Lake, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two children: Gary and Carolyn; three brothers and two sisters.
