Although his last residence was in Minneapolis, he may not have died in Minnesota. He is not listed in the MHS death index. His obit in the Star Tribune says he was “of New Hope.”

He was a coxswain in the U.S. Navy in World War II.

He and Darleen lived at 4605 Oakland Ave. when their first child was born.

In the 1950 census, he and Darleen and their two children lived on West Broadway in Minneapolis. He worked as an installer for the gas company.

Darleen (daughter of Herbert S (Hub) MUNN and Eva Wilhelmina SMITH) was born on 8 May 1927 in Hennepin County, Minnesota; died on 21 Apr 2018 in Hennepin County, Minnesota; was buried in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota. In the 1940 census, he is the 52 year-old George Sicord (the written entry on the census form is ambiguous) of north Minneapolis. He, his wife Hattie, and their children live at 3103 Logan Avenue North. He is a salesman of retail auto parts.

There is a George M Sicora buried in St. Patrick’s Cemetery who was born in 1890 and died in 1973 in Hennepin County.
