His birth seems to have caused his mother’s death.

Name inferred from Cajsa’s and Anders’s marriage record which said “Father Jan Jansson of Edeby present.” Emily Schlosser’s family tree calls him Jahn Jansson Wallbeck but does not connected Kajsa Jansdotter as his daughter.

The family was in N. Ås in later 1839 because Elias’s birth is recorded in the birth records for N. Ås. However, the family is not recorded in the 1840-1844 Household Examination for N. Ås (or S. Ås for that matter). The family is recorded in Norra Ås in Övre Ullerud in the 1845-1852 Household Examination. That entry (p. 367) shows Cajsa leaving for Olsäter in 1851. Jan is a “torpare” or crofter.

Jonas’s notes:

Sven was born in 1728 in Broddetorp parish, Skaraborg county. He was the fifth child of Commissioner Sven Johan Wallbeck and his wife Beata Hodhelius. When his father died in 1731, Sven was only three years old. With his father's death, his mother probably had to leave the home in Broddetorp. Sven therefore grew up on various farms around the country, including the so-called Kongsgården in Högentorp in Västergötland and Bäckgården Åkerby in Närke. Sven trained as a Gardener and held this position in the fall of 1750 when he married Brita Gabrielsdotter from Rud in Övre Ullerud parish, Värmland county. Where they married is not known. When his second child, son Sven, was born two years later, he was living in Åkerby or rather Åkersberg in Arvika, where he was employed as a gardener. His wife still lived on the Rud farm in Övre Ullerud parish. Sven and Brita later moved together to Olsäter in Övre Ulleruds parish, Värmland County, where he came to run the Gästgiveriet. In Olsäter he came to live for the rest of his life. Over time, he handed over the farm to his son Jonas Svensson. The son Lars Svensson also got a farm in Olsäter and Sven lived there until his death on April 12, 1794.
