  Notes	From the Faribault Daily News, June 4, 1997: Catherine Marjorie Kasa, 74, of rural Dennison died Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at the Three Links Care Center. Kasa was born Oct. 1, 1922, in rural Northfield Township to Albert and Pearl (Baker) Bradford. She attended country grade school and Northfield High School. She married Helge Kasa on June 27, 1941, and they made their home in Northfield for the next four years. In 1945, they began farming, first in the Dennison area, then in the Stanton area, before purchasing their present farm east of Dennison in 1959. In addition to being a homemaker and farm wife, Kasa worked at Carleton College in housekeeping. Later, she worked for Brockway and St. Olaf College. Kasa enjoyed gardening, cooking, cake decorating, snowmobiling, horses and the time spent with with her family at horse shows. She was an active member of Vang Lutheran Church for many years. Especially important to her were her family and friends and the time they were able to spend together. Survivors include her husband, Helge; a son, Harland (and Roberta) of Cannon Falls; two daughters, Judy Preston of Hampton and Janet Due of Loveland, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Schanno of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Frank (and Pearl) Bradford of Mesa, Ariz., and Earl "Bud" (and Ollie) Bradford of Littleton, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Bradford; and a son-in-law, Bill Preston. Services were held Thursday, June 5, at Vang Lutheran Church in rural Dennison, the Rev. Gerald Gengenbach officiating, with Helen Midje as the organist. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Harland Kasa, Scott Kasa, Kris Kasa, Dave Preston, Mike Preston and Chris Pape.
