    Charles Arthur Reynolds, 83, of Seattle and formerly of La Grande died Aug. 31. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Monday Sept. 5 at the Telford Funeral Chapel in East Wenatchee, Wash. The funeral Mass will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 6 at Holy Apostles Catholic church in East Wenatchee. A dinner will follow.

    Mr. Reynolds was born May 21, 1922, to Charles H. and Hazel Reynolds in La Grande. He attended Notre Dame University and graduated from the University of Oregon. He worked with his father and brother at Reynolds Insurance Co. in La Grande, and married Jane Ellingboe.

    He began teaching at the age of 49 at Davis High School in Yakima, and earned his teaching credentials through Central Washington University, and earned a master's degree at Gonzaga University. He worked with the Spokane Juvenile System and the Educational Service District in Wenatchee. He was a teacher and counselor up until his retirement four years ago.

    He was a three-time champion at the La Grande Country Club, and enjoyed golf almost as much as hunting and fishing. He was known for his sense of humor. La Grande was always home.

    Survivors include his wife of Seattle; children, Sally Theisen of Seattle, James Reynolds of East Wenatchee, and Charles Jr. "Kip" Reynolds of Paris, France; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two brothers, Everett "Shrimp" Reynolds, and Marion "Bud" Reynolds, died earlier.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a scholarship fund in care of Telford's Chapel, 711 Grant Road, East Wenatchee, Wash. 98802.

    Charles married Jane Claire ELLINGBOE on 29 Nov 1947 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. Jane (daughter of Arthur Gilbert ELLINGBOE and Jessie Lucile PRESTON) was born on 18 Mar 1927 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona; died on 13 Jan 2015 in Washington. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    James P. “Jim” Reynolds, 63, a 18 year Wenatchee Valley resident, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Central Washington Hospital.

    He was born on May 16, 1951 at La Grande, Oregon to Charles and Jane (Ellingboe) Reynolds. He was raised to the age of 14 in La Grande before the family moved to Yakima. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in Yakima with the class of 1969. He continued his education at Gonzaga University in Spokane and in 1971, he enrolled in the experimental “New School”, (a progressive school), for one year. He then took an eight year sabbatical from college, worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and helped form the “Family House” in Spokane. He furthered his education, attending UNLV, University of Nevada Las Vegas where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1979. He went to work in the mental health field in Las Vegas until moving to Seattle in the mid 1980’s. Jimmy first worked as a Salesman at a furniture store until accepting a position as a Network Administrator at Boeing. Following the layoffs of the early 1990’s, he moved to Wenatchee in 1996 and went to work for the IBEW, (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) as a Electrician and Material Handler. He retired in 2013 and has continued to make his home in Wenatchee.

    He was active in Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous.

    Jimmy enjoyed playing all sports, especially golf. He also liked to go camping, hiking and being in the outdoors as well as his love for gardening.

    He is survived by his mother, Jane Reynolds, Wenatchee; his daughter, Erika Rene’ Reynolds, Everett, WA; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally & Daniel King, Seattle, WA; one brother, Kip Reynolds, Buenos Aires, Argentina; two grandchildren, Cadence Jayden Reynolds-Main, Seattle, WA and Justine Berringer, Everett, WA and his longtime personal companion, Elizabeth “Beth” DeMarco, Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by his father in 2005.
