  Notes	Myrtle Marie Davis passed on at her home in Brainerd on Oct. 3, 2005. Myrtle was the daughter of S. Amanda Crowell and John J. Crowell. On May 25, 1935, she married Jay R. L. Davis. Together they had five children who, with their spouses are, Kathryn (David Barrett), Baxter, Minn., James (Lynn Sly), Bloomington, Minn., Jerry (Dodee Guinn), Eden Prairie, Janet (Curtis Finch), Glenallen, Alaska, and Lee (Dennis Kramlick), Medina, N.D. There are 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her sister, Gertrude (Ken Dunn) lives in Burlington, Ky. Her sister, Fern (Rolland Davis), brothers, Lloyd, Arthur and Howard, as well as her husband and parents, preceded her in passing. Myrtle had a long career with Sothers Studio and retired from there. She dedicated the rest of her time here to the study and practice of spiritual healing. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Brainerd, Minn., and First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston. A memorial service and fellowship gathering will be held at Park United Methodist Church, 315 N. Sixth St., Brainerd, on Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at noon. Myrtle requested memorials be sent to Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART), 1401 Danielson Road, Brainerd, MN 56401.
