  Notes	He registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Willmar as Robert Elmer Ellingboe of Route 2, Kerkhoven. He is employed as a farm laborer on his mother’s farm. He lists his mother as Mrs. A. J. Ellingboe. He is described as of medium height and build with blue eyes and light hair. Single and living at home in Norway Lake Twp with his mother and siblings in the 1920 census. His address was Murdock at the time Ardis was born. In the 1940 census, he and his family lived on a rented farm in Kerkhoven Twp. Robert was employed by the WPA doing road work. Robert had had six years of education, Lillie seven. He registered for the draft in Benson, Minnesota, on 15 Feb 1942. At that time he was a WPA employee doing city street graveling in Benson. In the 1950 census, he and his wife and their five children live in Benson. Neither he nor his wife have an occupation. The household’s only income seems to come from Ardis, age 20, who works as a waitress at a cafe.
