  Notes	Anna was living in De Forest at the time of Sever’s death. In the 1910 census, she and her husband of 27 years, Tom G., are living in Soldiers Grove. Anna is shown as never having had children. According to Judi, Soren Nundahl, Anna’s nephew, worked for Anna on her farm at Soldiers Grove in 1916 when Beatrice was born. In the 1920 census, Soren was a renter on a farm in Soldiers Grove, presumably Anna’s. Anna is not listed in the 1920 census. At the time of the 1930 census, she was widowed, 70 years old, and living as “sister-in-law” with Peter J. Sime, 77, and his wife Bertha, 80, in Soldiers Grove. Bertha and Peter had been married since they were 27 and 23, respectively. Everyone was born in Norway. Anna came to this country in 1883; Peter and Bertha came to this country in 1886. In the 1940 census, Anna is living in Soldiers Grove with her sister Ingebor Severson, in the same house, owned by Anna, in which Anna had lived in 1935. Both women are widows. In 1935, Ingebor had been living in rural Vernon County. Both women had eighth-grade educations. Anna was a naturalized citizen, Ingebor was still an alien. Not listed in the index of Vernon County deaths. Probably died in Crawford County. Anna, not her brother Sjur/Sever, was almost certainly the last living member of the family with a memory of Ekra, the family farm in Norway.
