  Notes	From the Faribault Daily News, July 16, 1963: Funeral services were held Monday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at the Vang Lutheran church for Thomas T. Haugen, 86, who passed away at the St. Olaf Rest Home in Northfield, Thursday, July 11. In the absence of the regular pastor, the Rev. B. J. Blikstad, the Rev. H. S. Bly, officiated. The vocalist was Mrs.Oscar Overby with Mrs. Cyrus Midje at the organ. The pallbearers were Herbert Haugen, Donald Haugen, Gerhard Haugen, Andrew Hoverstad, William Hunt and George Sevcik. Interment was in the Vang Cemetery. Thomas T. Haugen, son of Thomas N. and Gertrude Haugen, was born Nov. 16, 1876, in Warsaw Township. He attended the local schools and was a member of the Vang Lutheran Church. He suffered a heart attack at the St. Olaf Rest Home, where he had lived since his retirement. He never married. He was well known in Dennison as he had been employed at the Dennison Elevator Co. and at the Dennison Hardware Store before going to Northfield, where he was employed for many years at Carleton College before he retired. He is survived by two brothers, Christ and Carl of Dennison and one sister in North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
