  Notes	He celebrated his 94th birthday on 20 Feb 1949 with a party hosted by his daughter, Mrs. Marie Helgerson, with whom he was living. He came to the U.S. at the age of 18 months and his family settled in Dane County. The family moved to Crawford County in 1861. At the time of his birthday party, he was the oldest resident of Gays Mills and the 2nd oldest in Crawford County. He died a month later.
