For 35 years, Diane had been a speech therapist for the Traverse Bay Intermediate School District. Working primarily with handicapped students, she touched many lives in that time and enjoyed her work tremendously. Diane had been a certtified scuba instructor, was a voracious reader and enjoyed playing cards and board games. She was also a very gifted and talented Calligropher. Diane had attended Central United Methodist Church. Diane is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Read, children, Chad W. Read of Traverse City, Robert Scott (Melody) Read of Harrison Township, Leslie Read of Yellow Springs, OH; her grandchildren, Brittany Trombino, Max and Jennifer Read; her mother Geraldine Boldrey of Traverse City and sister Christine Weber of Traverse City. Diane was preceded in death by her father.
