    • Registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Hastings, Minnesota, as Edward S. Forstrom. He was a telephone lineman for the Star Telephone Company of Farmington. He gave his permanent address as Farmington. He listed his nearest relative as Miss Beulah Forstrom, daughter, of Farmington. He was described as of medium height and build with blue eyes and light hair.

      He and his daughter are living with his mother in Lakeville in the 1920 census. He is a lineman for the telephone company.

      Living in Lakeville, as a “roomer” with Henry Royce, 32, and his wife Helen, 23, in the 1930 census. Shown as Edward Forstrom, a widower, 49 years old, first married at age 28.

      An obituary:

      Ed Forstrom, well known in Farmington and Lakeville, died instantly of heart ailment, Tuesday evening, while throwing down silage at the James Milan farm, west of Lakeville. Funeral services were conducted at the home of his brother Art on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., by Rev J. P. Langsjoen pastor of the Christiania Free Church. Burial was in the Christiania cemetery. Mrs Guy Mohn furnished the music at the funeral. Pallbearers were Rudolph Ruh, Sherman Torbenson, Inger Thompson, Peter Christenson, Melford Halling and Louis O. Larson. Edward S.Forstrom was born January 24, 1882 in Eureka township on the home farm and died at Lakeville, December 5th, 1939, at 6:00 p.m., at the age of 57 years and 11 months. After growing to manhood in Eureka he moved to the iron range where he spent several years. Following this, he was united in marriage with Maude Chamberlin about 30 years ago and after two years of married life Mrs Forstrom died, leaving one infant daughter, who is now Mrs Beaulah Voss of Northfield. The deceased is also survived by three brothers, Art and Bob of Lakeville and Thomas of Montana. His father died when Ed was about 15 years old and his mother died at the home of Art Forstrom last year. Ed worked for the Star Telephone Company several years and also for Dr. J. A.
