Boyle, who died Feb. 25, 2001, at age 75. Mr. Boyle was born April 23, 1925, in Portland, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Parkrose High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a patrolman for the Oregon State Police and later was a manager with Exhaust Specialties before becoming owner of Master Muffler Inc. He married Bernadine Schnase in the 1940s; she died in 1998. Survivors include; sons, Tom, David and Patrick; sisters, Collette Bassett, Colleen Ledbetter and Patricia Brown; and five grandchildren.
