  Notes	Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Bear Creek Lutheran Church rural Grand Meadow, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Hindt Funeral Home, 104 Grand Ave. E, Grand Meadow, MN. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Gordon Ellsworth Sween, age 88, of Grand Meadow, MN, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.Gordon was born on September 1, 1924, to Clifford and Evelyn (Skogstad) Sween in Racine Township. He grew up in rural Grand Meadow. Gordon was a member of Bear Creek Lutheran Church his entire life. On August 14, 1955, Gordon married Betty Lou Meschke. Throughout his life, Gordon worked as a farm laborer and at the Grand Meadow Locker. He eventually went to work for the grain elevator in Grand Meadow, until his retirement in 1986, after 27 years. Gordon was a member of the Grand Meadow Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed camping with friends and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Gordon is survived by his wife, Betty of Grand Meadow, daughter, Crystal (Tom) Olson of Byron, MN, grandchildren, Sara and Eric Olson of Byron, MN, and his brother, Norman (Kitty) Sween of Grand Meadow.He was preceded in death by his parents.
