Peter was a “Husmand med Jord, Skovdrift” (cotter with land, ?). In the 1880 census, he and his family are in Trondhjem Twp. The household consists of Peter C. Midbo, 50, his wife Christine, 50, Petra, 12, Josephine, 8, Anton, 5, and three servants: Erick and Anne Hanson and Anton Nilsen. In the 1900 census, he and Christine are living with their son Anton and his family in Otter Tail County.
