The original is a semi-glossy print, approximately 2.5 x 4, mounted on a sturdy tan board. On the back, in pencil, is "Cora from Arthur" and, added by Cora later in ink, "Hendrickson."

Mabel is on the left. Carl has the cap on in the back, over his mother's left shoulder. Ethel Berglund, a family friend, is next to Mabel. Gust is on the far right with the dog. We don't know who the other people are.

From about 1903. Carl would be 6, Clara would be 5, and Tilman would be 1-1/2. The faded original is a print mounted on board stock but there is no indication of who the photographer was. The annotation on the back, in pencil and maybe by Cora, is "Carl Clara & Tillman."
