Still living at home with him and Sigrid at that time were six of their 7 children: Ole the older, b. 1886, Ole the younger, b. 1888, Sidsel, b. 1890, Bergit, b. 1893, Nils, b. 1896, and Margit, b. 1898.

According to Stephanie’s site, he left Norway with his wife and their 8 children, between the ages of 19 and 1½, on 17 Mar 1905.

In the Kvie section of Vang C (p. 155), he is Ola Trondsson Høltun, Kjøs. He has the name shown in his main entry at p. 103. He was a husmann at Søre Hølta, a husmannsplas on Kjøs 94/2 Sygarde, after 1848.

He is called Ole Thronsen Kjøsejet in his son Thron’s birth record.

In the 1865 census, he was Ole Trondsson, age 47, a husmand med jord on Kjøs nedre in Hurum in Vang. Also part of the household were his parents, Trond Johannessen, Føderaadsmand, age 81, and Marith Trondsdatter, age 80. Kari Trondsdatter, age 44 and unmarried, and Marith Eivindsdatter, age 17, and daughter of Kari, also lived in the household. Kari was Trond and Marith’s daughter.
