In the 1900 census, 41 year-old widower John H Wisnom lived in Mason City, Iowa, with his son, daughter, and brother.

The Wisnoms seem to have been in neither Iowa nor Minnesota in 1905.

In the 1909 Minneapolis city directory, he is John H Wisnom, “conf”, doing business at 3321 Lyndale Avenue S and living at 2932 Elliot Avenue.

In the 1910 census, 51 year-old John Henry Wisnom lived with his family at 2840 Park Avenue in Minneapolis. John was a bricklayer in the house construction field. Living with him was 30 year-old “Matie”, her daughter, 12 year-old Marie, and his daughter, 22 year-old Cora. He and Mattie had been married for 8 years and it was his 2nd marriage.

(His daughter Cora married Fred Lucas in Minneapolis on 18 Oct 1916.)

In the 1920 census, now as “James H Wisnom”, he lives in Minneapolis at 3749 29th Avenue with his daughter and son-in-law. James is 62 and divorced. He is employed as bricklayer.

(In the 1930 census, Cora and Fred Lucas still live at 3749 29th Avenue in south Minneapolis.)

In the 1920 and 1930 censuses, there is another John Wisnom (John F in 1930) who is single and lives in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. That John Wisnom is shown in both censuses as born in 1861.

John married Martha Matilda (Mae) DUNBAR about 1902, and was divorced. Martha (daughter of William S DUNBAR and Lydia Lee DILLEY) was born on 27 Oct 1879 in Foster, Faribault County, Minnesota; died on 25 Aug 1970 in Hennepin County, Minnesota; was buried in Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
