Jim’s notes, translated: The year he went to America he received his daughter Anne with Anne Olsdtr Øydegårdsbakken.

In the 1880 census, he and Anna, with Knut, Carrie, and Christoffer, live in Granite Falls Twp, Chippewa County, Minnesota. They seem to be living with the Sivert Arness family.

In the 1900 census, he and Anne and their 7 children (Kari, Christoffer, Ole, Gurine, Ellen, Sophia, and Mabel) live in the town of Stoneham in Chippewa County, Minnesota. He owns his farm.

In the 1910 census, he and Annie and three of their children (Julia, Ella, and Christ) live in McLean County, North Dakota.

In the 1930 census, he and Anna lived in McLean County, North Dakota. They seem to have lived with or next to their son Christ Lockrem, 49.

She is probably the Anne who was born 15 Oct 1848 (bapt. 1 Jan 1849 in Vang) to the unmarried couple Ole Iversen somebody and Kari Hendriksdatter Einang of Slidre.

In the 1865 census, she was a tjenestepige, 18 years old, on the Ødegaarden 105d farm in Vang.

In the 1900 census, she had had 9 children, 7 still living. This was, apparently, anticipating Mabel not making it. Anne had come to the U.S. in 1874, her husband in 1873.

Those numbers are 9 and 6 in the 1910 census.

He is I23961 in Jim’s VS. Jim’s notes: Han var litt vannfør. Han hadde datteren Sissel 1841- med Kjersti J Nefstad før han giftet seg. Han overtok etter svigerforeldrene i 1843 og fikk kongeskjøte på gården 8.9.1847 for 400 spd. Han lånte hele kjøpesummen av Opplysningsvæsenets Fond.

He is I3377 in Jim’s VS. Jim’s notes: Han var soldat, men ble skadd i krigen og kom hjem. Det finnes to brev etter ham på Kvien: 30.5.1808 fra Haneborg i Aurskog et kjerlighetsbrev til forloved en Eli som da var på Vøvle og et fra 1.8.1809 fra Langbrekken på Momarken i Eidsberg til fa ren om at han håpet å få komme hjem engang den sommeren.

He is I23957 in Jim’s VS. Jim’s notes: He had been service boy several sites and was called both Kung Lien and Belsheim. He was first married to the widow Guro Olsdtr Eye (or Øyene). When she died he married with Kari Jørnsdtr Lokreim and bought nørre Lokreim.

dwfrench1 calls him Tosten Olsen Strand and has him born on Strand.
