  Notes	Thomas was living on Muren in Årdal in the 1865 census. He was living with his mother and his mother’s parents, Christofer Thomassen and Guro Helgesdatter and, probably, his father’s sister, Guro Olsdatter. Thomas and Anna Oren (“Oven” in the indexing) were farming in Soldiers Grove in the 1900 census. Anna is shown as never having had children. Living with them in 1900 was a 27 farmhand, Brigt Kerken. He returned to Norway, probably for a visit, and is shown in the Bergen departure records for 1 September 1906 as Thomas J Øren of Soldiers Grove. His wife was not listed so she may not have accompanied him. Not listed in the index of Vernon County deaths. Probably died in Crawford County.
