  Notes	Selmer (or, possibly, Kenneth) was probably the son of Carl’s who showed DHC around the tobacco farm during the Carlsons’ long visit to Viroqua in July of 1938. In a December 16, 1979, letter to Cora, Benetta says that “Selmer Nundahl, Carl’s oldest boy, had open heart surgery 2 weeks ago. He is getting along good.” His obituary appeared in the December 21st edition of the Richland Observer. According to his obit, Selmer farmed in the Mason City area until 1970. According to Geneva’s obit, they moved to Viroqua in 1967. According to his obit, Selmer was survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
